The Thread Back

JHAIE was born from an instinct to connect to a deeper space within. To create tangible objects that hold a piece of the intimate relationship we hold to self.

A reminder to slow down and drop in, to explore the intimacy that can exist between the body, the self, and material.

The first collection, The Threads, was designed with the idea of weaving and creating threads to lead us back to self. ‘Self’ in the sense of a deeper presence that lives within us. That anchors us, that holds us and that guides us.

The collection explores how jewellery can serve as a marker of presence, a reminder to anchor us. Each piece becomes a vessel for intention, transforming the act of adornment into a deeper conversation with self.

In The Threads, form and feeling coexist. There is a constant play between structure and fluidity, playing with duality this collection works with contrasts. Gold and silver, strong black onyx and soft clear quartz. Structured chains juxtaposed with fluid stone pieces. This tension mirrors the rhythm of life itself: the moments we crave grounding and structure, and the ones where we surrender to flow and the unknowing.

JHAIE approaches jewellery not as decoration, but as a semiotic practice, a language of symbols that can hold meaning beyond surface. The pieces invite the wearer to attune to this language, to notice what is being called forward within them. In this way, jewellery becomes a lived experience, a tool for presence, connection, and self-expression.

Every piece from The Threads is accompanied by The Practice, an intention card that invites introspection. It asks the wearer to name what they wish for the piece to hold: an energy, a feeling, a goal. Over time, that intention sits within this piece and in turn with them, quietly shaping the space between thought and becoming.

To wear JHAIE is to participate in this ongoing practice. One that redefines adornment as a tactile meditation on being. Jewellery, when held with awareness, becomes more than an object. It becomes a symbol of return, a thread back to self.
