Cultivating Beauty

A practice.

It's hard not to be present in the company of beauty.

It has a way of pulling us out of our thoughts and placing us firmly in the moment. It calls us back - back to presence, back to whats real, back to what matters.

Beauty is a form of healing. Creating and immersing oneself in beauty is a gift to both self and those surrounding you.

It softens the edges and invites us into a quieter, more tender relationship with life.

I've been consciously making the creation of beauty a practice. Taking extra moments to add pieces of beauty to the things I do. Not rushing or cutting corners but taking the time to make things look and feel beautiful, and in turn building a beautiful life.

One that is filled with morning walks at sunrise, one with beautiful food, one with a daily yoga practice and one filled with the company of those I love.

Exploring and finding what is beautiful to me and what makes me feel beautiful.

This is the practice:

Small gestures done with presence, can build something lasting.

A life full of softness and care. A life where beauty isn't reserved for rare moments, it's woven into the everyday.

And even when beauty feels far away, or too tender to touch, the devotion to seek it often brings it back to you.
